ALCESTER's first artisan market is now set to take place next month following its suspension.
The market was due to be held on Sunday, March 22 but it is now planned for Sunday, April 19 after Alcester Community Trust postponed the event due to administrative reasons.
Following the trust’s decision, LSD Promotions decided it couldn’t commit to the project and withdrew from the event.
The artisan market aims to sell a wide range of quirky, unique and unusual products which have been made using traditional skills including antiques, hand painted ceramics, wicker work, handmade cotton, wooden toys, vintage items, arts and crafts and foods including preserves, conserves, pickles, breads and cheeses.
The aim is to run a regular artisan market in the High Street on the third Sunday of each month and this has been planned in conjunction with Alcester Chamber of Trade and Commerce and Alcester Town Council.
