A REDDITCH man arrested after a school bus overturned will face no further action, police have said.
The 28-year-old man, questioned on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving, will not be charged because of insufficient evidence.
A West Mercia spokesman said there was "insufficient evidence to proceed with the case but enquiries are ongoing".
The bus, transporting 53 children to school, slipped down an embankment and overturned on Holme Lacy Road in Hereford last November.
More than 20 pupils visited Hereford County Hospital's A&E department, suffering from minor injuries.
Bus driver Eileen Hampton, who spent several weeks in hospital after the crash with chest and abdominal injuries, recently went public about the crash for the first time – to praise the students on board.
She said: "The respect and admiration I have for these students is second to none for the mature and safe way they exited the coach."
She also thanked the emergency services and hospital staff for the support both she and the students received as well as friends, family and colleagues.
