A GROUP of brave volunteers took part in a firewalking challenge held in Alcester to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the White Lion pub and in aid of the charity Breast Cancer Campaign.
On Saturday, October 11 at 6pm the team met on the grass in the car park of the pub where they registered and received a seminar.
After the event, glasses of pink bubbly donated by the pub’s wine supplier, Inn Express were given to those taking part along with a certificate.
Entertainment including a raffle and Big Dave's Divas Disco took place after the walk.
Residents were invited to attend the fundraiser to support the team and asked to wear pink for the occasion.
All the participants raised more than £100 with some managing to reach £300 in sponsorship.
So far the firewalkers have raised more than £1,800.
