WHAT do giant cutlery, selfies and VIPs have in common?
The Hub, the £2m investment in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, is having a special VIP event on Sunday, October 5.
And in the run up to the event people are being invited to take selfies next to a new gigantic knife and fork installation, using the hashtag #KFselfie.
The two huge 16ft pieces of cutlery have been installed in Worcester Square celebrating the recent openings of Nando’s and The Real China.
With Tinseltown, Redditch’s first American diner, scheduled to open in October 2014 this is the perfect opportunity to snap a selfie and check out what’s on offer at Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
Ken Williams, general manager of the shopping centre, said: “We’re really excited to see what kind of selfies people take next to our giant knife and fork- the wackier, the better!
“It’s not just a publicity stunt; this is our way of showcasing our latest offerings in the food court, as well as engaging with our customers via social media.
“We want to attract the next generation of shoppers with our Hub development and make visiting the Kingfisher a real day out for all the family."
On Sunday, October 5, there will be family entertainment, live music, giveaways and promotions.
Visitors are also being invited to indulge in some retail therapy during the day, with offers in and around the shopping centre.
