REDDITCH Sailing Club recently participated in the largest sailing race in the world, as well as raising cash for a good cause.
The club took part in Bart's Bash, a sailing race and fundraising event which saw 20,000 participants sail around a measured course in 76 countries.
It was in aid of Andrew "Bart" Simpson, a multiple Olympic medallist, who was killed whilst participating in the Americas Cup.
A spokesman from the club said that 37 boats took part in the race which included a number of rookies trainees who were brave enough to join in with only two days of sailing experience.
The club raised more than £500 for the Andrew Simpson Foundation, which aims to transform the lives of young people through sailing.
