A MAN has serious burns following an unusual incident in Studley yesterday, Monday, March 10.
Officers from Warwickshire Police were called to a collision in Green Lane just after 5pm.
They were responding to a report that a male pedestrian had been in collision with a black VW Tiguan and had run off across the fields.
A thorough search was made of the area, using police dogs and air support unit as well as officers on the ground.
A successful track by a search dog resulted in the location of a 25-year-old man who had been in contact with an electricity pylon.
The man suffered serious burns to his hands and legs and was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham for treatment.
