MEMBERS of the group have never been very good at painting but after spending an afternoon with Jill Stray demonstrating one stroke painting we were all amazed and full of enthusiasm.
Jill was an excellent speaker and very talented.
Our members really enjoyed the afternoon with the chance after to purchase Jill’s beautiful gifts at teatime.
The group’s trip to Windsor was a huge success and despite the soaring temperatures we managed to see many of the attractions with a wonderful visit to the castle and boat trips on the river.
Our meeting on October 14 was a members afternoon, a chance for old and new members to chat and get to know each other better.
We also had our SWISH afternoon (Swapping Items Second Hand).
The next meeting is on November 11 and we are looking forward to our speaker Paul Harding talking about WW2 Life on the Home Front.
The group meets on the second Monday of the month and visitors are always welcome.
