WARWICKSHIRE Fire Service was called to the River Avon in Bidford on Wednesday, August 7 at 12.24pm after reports that person were still on two sinking boats and in distress.
One appliance from Bidford and one appliance from Alcester, along with the Water Rescue Boats from Rugby Fire Station, were sent out.
There had been a collision on the river between two long boats. Nobody was in the water, but three people and two dogs were still on the boats.
The stranded people were rescued and both boats were freed from the river by a farmer with tractor and lines.
