WEST Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after a car parked on a driveway in Hollywood, was attacked and offensive wording sprayed on the seats.
A substantial amount of damage was caused to the car in Alcester Road, near to the Tesco Express, on Thursday, August 1 between 3pm and 11.30pm.
A window was smashed to get into the vehicle, leather seating and interior panels were slashed and an insult clearly directed at the owner sprayed on to the seats and etched into the dashboard.
PC Ed Banks, who is investigating, said: “The nature of this incident is very disturbing. I am urgently seeking any witnesses and would like to hear from anybody who may have information that could help me identify those responsible.
“It is clear due to the extent of the damage caused that whoever did this must have been in the vehicle for at least a few minutes. If you heard anything unusual or saw anyone acting suspiciously in that area yesterday afternoon or evening then please get in touch.”
PC Banks can be reached at Wythall Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 298-N-010813. If people prefer to give details anonymously they can be phoned through to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
