ALCESTER Male Voice Choir has received a sponsorship deal from a local coach company for the third year running.

The 80 strong choir has been sponsored for the last two years by Henley-based Johnsons Coaches, regularly holding concerts in the area and raising thousands of pounds for charities, churches, schools and community groups.

The choir’s founder and director of music, Judith Land, said: “We are once again very grateful to Johnsons, who have provided some upfront funding in return for a package of marketing and promotional benefits. Over the last two years the arrangement has worked well, there is synergy between our two organisations. We are professional in our approach to singing and always strive to be the very best that we can be when performing concerts throughout the area, it is therefore, important that when entering a sponsorship arrangement, our sponsors have the same philosophy and with Johnsons that is definitely the case.”

John Johnson, director of Johnsons Coach & Bus Travel, added: "We are delighted to once again support the choir. We’ve always been impressed with their commitment and professionalism and we like to encourage them and support their efforts wherever we can. They have become unique in the Midlands and we wish them well for another highly successful year, under Judith’s inspirational leadership.”
