WORCESTERSHIRE County Council is giving Redditch residents a chance to find out what's happening about transport and youth Services in the town and to meet with their county councillor.

This free event, the Redditch area forum, will take place on Wednesday, July 24 from 7-9pm at Redditch Town Hall.

People can attend and hear the latest news on changes to Youth Services in Redditch - what's happening and why, Choose How You Move sustainable transport in Redditch, and an update on the current situation with Redditch bus services.

Worcestershire County Councillors who are expected at the Redditch area forum include Pattie Hill (Arrow Valley West); Philip Gretton (Redditch South); Joseph Baker (Arrow Valley East); Graham  Vickery (Redditch North) and Robin Lunn (Redditch North).

Hazel Robinson, Worcestershire County Council's community engagement officer, who organised the event, said: "Redditch is a clear priority for our councillors and there's a huge amount of work going on in the town. This is a great opportunity for local people to find out about it first-hand and get answers to the questions they want to ask.

“I hope we'll see a great turn-out with as many people as possible taking the opportunity to speak to their local county councillor. Everyone's invited, so come along and make local democracy work for you.”
