AN 18-year-old woman was attacked as she cycled in Redditch with her boyfriend.

The couple were cycling along Studley Road at about 9.45pm on Sunday, July 14.

The boyfriend cycled past a woman who started shouting abuse at him. She then attacked his girlfriend before pushing her off her bike and into a thorn bush.

She received scratches and bruises on her arms and back.

The offender is white, about 40 years old, 5ft tall, had a large build and red hair. She was wearing a white t-shirt and black trousers.

Investigating officer PC Laura Wright said: “This appears to be an unprovoked attacked and we are eager to hear from anyone who saw it happen or thinks they know who the woman is.”
