AFTER hosting a series of successful sport education courses earlier in the year, Redditch Council’s sports development team in partnership with the County Sport Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire is offering more for individuals and clubs to get involved in.

The new courses available between August and September consist of emergency first aid from 6-9pm at Redditch Town Hall on August 15, safeguarding and protecting children on August 16 from 5.45-8.45pm at Bromsgrove Council House, and a further emergency first aid session at Bromsgrove Council House on September 11 from 5.45-8.45pm.

If there are any other sport/coach education courses and workshops which residents would be interested in attending but aren’t currently available, they can register their interest at www.morethansportcoaching.com for consideration by the County Sport Partnership.

Councillor Phil Mould, whose portfolio covers leisure and tourism, said: “Lots of residents have already benefitted from the courses run earlier in the year and I hope plenty more people take the opportunity to get involved in these courses.”

All courses cost £30 per person but discounts apply to those attached to sport clubs that have Club Mark Accreditation.
