BRIGHT Kids Nursery Group, a childcare provider with nurseries in Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Birmingham, celebrated Mardi Gras at its Out of School Club at Studley Infants.
Youngsters marked the occasion by making Mardi Gras carnival masks and listening to and dancing to carnival music and eating pancakes.
Sally Grubb, club co-ordinator said “At Bright Kids we feel it’s very important to celebrate lots of different festivals from around the world, to help to enrich our children’s experiences and understanding of diverse cultures.”
Mardi Gras falls just before Lent, and traditionally marks the last opportunity for fun and feasting before 40 days of self-denial. Mardi Gras means "Fat Tuesday" in French.
