FIREFIGHTERS from Redditch have been called to a road traffic collision involving a person trapped in a car.
The incident took place at approximately 2.10pm on the junction of Mill Lane and the Slough in Sambourne, when the three private motor vehicles were in collision.
A woman in her 40s was trapped in one car, and fire crews from Redditch and Henley in Arden attended the scene, using cutting equipment and small gear to free her.
She was taken to University Hospital Warwickshire suffering from abdominal injuries and an injured right arm.
A man and a woman in one of the others cars involved suffered minor injuries and were checked over at the scene by paramedics, but didn’t require any further treatment.
It is believed the woman trapped is fine.
