THEATRE audiences are about to say farewell to one of the star’s of Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and Crackerjack.

The occasion is that Stewart Francis has embarked on a brand-new show, in this, his last tour EVER!!!

Thus providing the final chance to see him before he heads off... INTO THE PUNSET. And one of the stop-off points is here in Worcestershire this week.

With the added 2019 dates it is turning out to be quite a beast of a tour – beginning in Soho this month and culminating at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith in December next year.

This will be Stewart’s last and final stand-up gig – ever! And this means those behind the farewell extravaganza are expecting a full house and not a dry eye within it.

Winner of Dave’s Funniest Joke Of The Fringe, this hugely successful one-liner wizard has become a household name in the UK and Ireland over the last decade, thanks to his ‘perfectly crafted gags’ and expert timing, which he has brought to sell-out audiences across the world.

Now it’s time to sit back and enjoy, for the last time, his excellent jokes in his farewell tour Stewart has received international acclaim in the US and his native Canada, as well as here in the UK and Ireland. Amongst other shows he has appeared on are BBC’s Mock The week, Live At The Apollo, Celebrity Mastermind and Not Going Out, Dave’s One Night Stand, and C4’s 8 Out Of Ten Cats.

Worcestershire fans have the chance to catch him at Malvern’s Forum Theatre this Friday, October 12.

Also heading for Malvern this weekend are the UK Pink Floyd Experience - who will be in town on Saturday, October 13.

They’ll be recreating the sights and sounds of the legendary Pink Floyd live in concert, with this highly authentic show featuring over 50 years of hits by the legendary band.

With eight top flight musicians and a world-class crew, the highly acclaimed show recreates the atmosphere of Pink Floyd in concert, featuring over two hours of songs from both iconic albums Dark Side Of The Moon and Animals, as well as Wish You Were Here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Another Brick In The Wall and Comfortably Numb alongside impressive video projection and a stunning light show.

This spellbinding show - in the Forum Theatre at 7.45pm - is a true celebration of all things Floyd and should appeal to fans of all ages.  Hand-picked by Adele herself on Graham Norton’s BBC Special the outstanding Katie Markham will be featuring in a special tribute show - Someone Like You - at the Forum on Friday, October 19, featuring many of Adele’s massive hits.

The show is a stunning live concert performance, celebrating the music of one of our generations finest singer-songwriters, and has received international acclaim.
 From powerhouse performances with Force 10 vocals through to intimate torch songs and a spellbinding sit-down acoustic section the show faithfully recreates the magic of the three record-breaking albums 19, 21 and 25 - including Chasing Pavements, Make You Feel My Love, Set Fire To The Rain, Someone Like You, Hello, Rolling In The Deep, Skyfall and many more.

Someone Like You also pays homage to some of Adele’s musical heroes, from Etta James to George Michael, via the Cure, to name but a few. Start time for the Forum concert is 7.45pm.

Music of a different nature on Sunday, October 14, where the Russian State Opera presents Carmen – the most powerful, enjoyable and tuneful opera.

Georges Bizet’s music will be sung in French with English subtitles and features an impressive cast accompanied by a live orchestra numbering over 30 musicians.

After its success at Malvern with Tosca last year, the Russian company returns to delight local opera fans with its powerful and dramatic production of Carmen - which will provide the thrill of fiery passion, jealousy and violence of 19th century Seville and it is certainly Bizet’s most popular opera.

It will be staged in the Festival Theatre at 7.30pm.

Presented by Speakers from the Edge the mountain biking superstar, Steve Peat, tells the story of his illustrious racing career; the bikes, the world cups, the parties and the pursuit of the seemingly elusive World Championship title which some thought might never come!

In Bikes & Beers, he will take the audience along the journey that saw him rise from plumbing to podiums and become one of the most successful men’s downhill racers of all time, showing just how to succeed when you have the drive and determination.

That evening opens in the Forum at 7.45pm.

Meanwhile, the 10CC in Concert event in the Forum on October 20 (7.30pm) is already sold out.
