FANCY travelling back to a simpler time of mullets and big-haired youths emoting teen angst in pastel clothes?
Residents of a certain age are being invited to take a step down memory lane and attend a special event - The Wine Bar reunion of the 80s.
The event, held at Fever in the town centre, aims to reunite people who frequented the club when it was known as The Wine Bar.
It is being organised by Lisa Davies who said the idea came to her after reminiscing with friends and will see DJ Darren Bernstein, one of Redditch's best known and most respected DJs, return to the town for one night only.
The DJ, best known for being Bobby Browns' original DJ, started his career in Redditch aged just 16 playing venues such as Top Cats and The Lime Light.
He left the Redditch scene in 1987 for Birmingham but said he can't wait to return.
He said: "I've got so many fond memories of playing in Redditch. It will be fun to come back for one night only.
"The reunion will be a great night. I'll be playing nothing but the best - old school funk, soul, hits of the 80s. Hopefully it will help bring back some wonderful memories for a lot of people."
The event is on this Sunday, December 21 from 10pm until 3am.
