The site is site surrounded by open farmland on all sides and located South of Brize Norton and to the Northwest of Clanfield and is situated on Calcroft Lane approximately 0.5 miles from Clanfield. Clanfield brook enters the site to the South West and exits the site on the South boundary. Clanfield is a village and civil parish about three miles south of Carterton, Oxfordshire. The parish includes the hamlet of Little Clanfield one mile west of the village, on Little Clanfield Brook which forms the parish's western boundary.
