REX MICHAEL STANLEY Sadly passed away on 5th November 2020 aged 79 years. Rex was a light in so many lives, with his big laugh, beaming smile and lust for life. Beloved Father to Bruce, Michelle and Sue. He will be hugely missed by all who knew and loved him. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a small family service will take place at Redditch Crematorium on Monday 30th November 2020 at 1.15pm. Family flowers only please, any donations could be kindly made to Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre, Beckford, Evesham and may be sent to Thomas Brothers The Funeral Directors Birchfield House, 494 Evesham Road, Redditch B97 5JF 01527 547777 Thank you

I first met Rex at British Drug Houses in Islington, London, where we were employed as laboratory assistants in the late 1950s. After a few years he left to go to Leicester University and I followed later to go to Loughborough University. We regularly kept in contact and he came to visit me at my home in Switzerland a few years ago. Rex was a kind and caring man with an infectious laugh and always a pleasure to be with. I am proud to have had him as a friend. My heartfelt condolences to all his family.

So sad to hear about Uncle Rex. His smile and laugh are two things that come to mind whenever I picture him. He will be hugely missed by his family and we send our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to them at this sad time.
