Cyril Horne Well known Bromsgrove Musician. Passed away peacefully on 11th May 2019 at home, aged 93 years. Much loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Service to celebrate his life at Wyre Forest Crematorium on Wednesday 22nd May at 11:30 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations for 'Clic Sargent' (Cancer Charity for children and young people in memory of Sir Malcolm Sargent) Please wear colourful clothes to make this a joyous occasion.

I am so sorry to hear of this, although he had a long and rewarding life. Cyril was my violin teacher and the conductor when I was a member of, and later leader of, the Worcestershire County Youth Orchestra. So many of us from those days remain friends, and whenever we meet, the ‘Cyril stories’ flow afresh and we raise a glass to him. His influence on literally hundreds of young musicians in and around Worcester cannot be underestimated. RIP, Cyril. I still fear the ‘I’ll have your guts for bootlaces!!!!’....
