WORCESTERSHIRE return to Second XI Championship action tomorrow against Derbyshire for a three-day fixture at Stourbridge.

Tom Fell is to make another appearance for the team having made 223, the highest score by a County player in the Championship, against MCC Young Cricketers at Barnt Green last month.

Fell top-scored for the first XI with 33 off 87 balls in the second innings of the nine-wicket defeat to Glamorgan in the County Championship at New Road.

But he is hoping to spend some more time in the middle this week after a challenging start to the campaign ahead of the Royal London One-Day Cup semi-final at New Road on Saturday.

Paceman Alex Wilkinson will have his second Championship outing of 2017, having picked up six wickets against Young Cricketers.

The 20-year-old has played for Oxford MCCU against Surrey, Warwickshire and Somerset and also for Herefordshire this summer.

Alex Hepburn will skipper the side as coach Kevin Sharp continues his policy of rotating the captaincy after Ben Twohig was at the helm for last week’s two T20 matches against Young Cricketers.

Worcestershire are seventh in the table, having beaten Young Cricketers and lost to Warwickshire at Royal Grammar School Worcester and Lancashire at Northern.

Worcestershire from: Rhodes, Westbury, Fell, Kervezee, Hepburn, Dell, Malik, Twohig, Dodd, Brown, Finch, Wilkinson.
