WORCESTERSHIRE’S supporters can see some of the club's up and coming academy-pathway talent and several members of the professional squad in action at Kidderminster tomorrow.

Teams under the names of the 'Rapids' and 'Royals' will take on each other in a 50 over white ball clash at Chester Road.

The game has become a traditional part of Worcestershire's early season plans in recent seasons.

But this year it will also serve as a warm-up for players hoping to be involved in either the Royal London One-Day Cup or the Second Eleven Trophy with both competitions elevated to early season status.

Spinner Ben Twohig will captain the 'Rapids' side with all-rounder Alex Hepburn leading the 'Royals'.

The Rapids include Jack Haynes who has just returned from being part of the ECB Under-16 team who toured Sri Lanka to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Bunbury Festival.

The Seconds will then take on Somerset in a three-day friendly at Taunton Vale from Tuesday to Thursday and the Academy will be competing in the Shrewsbury School pre-season festival on the same dates.

Admission is free at Chester Road and play will get underway at 11am.
