MOEEN Ali was dismissed for 13 on the second day of the fourth Investec Test with India at Old Trafford.

The Worcestershire all-rounder came in at number seven for England to warm applause after his match-winning 6-67 in the third Test at the Ageas Bowl.

He pulled successive deliveries from Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the boundary to steer England past India’s first-innings total of 152.

But Moeen was sixth out for 170 when he was bowled by a swinging full-length delivery from Varun Aaron.

In the second Under 19s Test at Northampton, Worcestershire duo Joe Clarke and Ed Barnard shared a fifth-wicket partnership of 39 against South Africa.

Clarke made 29 off 79 balls with five fours before he was fifth out at 298 and Barnard (15) followed 17 runs later.

New Zealand ‘A’ batsman Colin Munro, part of Worcestershire’s NatWest T20 Blast side, made 15 against England Lions at Bristol as part of the triangular series also involving Sri Lanka ‘A’.

Munro returns to New Road on Tuesday when the series ends with the Lions and New Zealand encounter.
