BRETT D'Oliveira and Alexei Kervezee continued their good form with half-centuries for Worcestershire on day one of the two-day friendly with Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

D'Oliveira had scored a maiden first-class century and Kervezee 59 in the second innings of the 482-run success over Oxford MCCU at The Parks.

Opener D'Oliveira struck another 65 off 85 balls against the Bears with 12 fours as Worcestershire scored 210-5 in reply to 200-2 declared.

He shared in a third-wicket stand of 112 in 23 overs with Kervezee, who went to his half-century from 76 balls with one six and six fours.

The pair came together after opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Joe Clarke were both dismissed by Chris Wright for ducks.

After the stand was broken, Ross Whiteley (15) and Ben Cox (13) were removed.

Kervezee finished the day on 73 not out and skipper Daryl Mitchell on 34no.

Warwickshire had batted first and declared in 50 overs with Laurie Evans retired on 65 and Sam Hain hitting 78no.

Joe Leach made the first breakthrough when former England batsman Jonathan Trott (7) was caught behind by Cox with 18 on the board.

It became 61-2 when Warwickshire skipper Ian Bell was bowled by Ed Barnard for 23.
