REDDITCH United manager Liam McDonald has called for the goals to keep coming after Saturday's 8-1 trouncing of Bedworth United.

The Reds recorded their biggest win of the season as the floodgates opened at the Valley Stadium.

United, who were third before last night's game at Cirencester, had previously scored eight goals in the last seven games but significantly improved their goal-difference.

Jazz Luckie and Ashley Sammons both bagged braces, while Jamey Osborne, Jordan Cullinane-Liburd and Max Loveridge also hit the back of the net.

While it was an undoubted fine overall team performance, McDonald also singled out two players for special praise.

"The whole team played very well and I had felt that sort of win had been coming for a while.

"It's not easy to score so many goals against a team at our level, even when they've had a player sent off, but we were determined, focused and clinical.

"That's two wins in a row and hopefully we can keep scoring goals, we've got one of the best defences in the league and we don't lose many games."

He added: "There were a lot of very good performances but Max Loveridge and Jim Mutton were head and shoulders above the others."

McDonald also confirmed two of his players were attracting interest from higher ranked clubs.

They have received two offers for highly-rated midfielder Osborne.

Osborne is contracted until the end of the season and United would prefer a deal that would see him loaned back to the club until the end of the season.

McDonald said: "This isn't about making money off the Jamie deal, it's about the right move for him and the club.

"We're mulling over two offers and see what happens."

Meanwhile, McDonald also said another of the club's contracted players has attracted interest from a Football League club.

United, who played Cirencester on Tuesday night, go to Cambridge City on Saturday (3pm ko) and entertain Kettering on Monday (7.45pm ko).
