LIAM McDonald believes Redditch United are well-poised to be in the top five mix in the Southern League Premier.
The Valley Stadium outfit head into the festive fixtures in a strong position to kick on in 2016.
United were left frustrated after their home games against Dunstable on Saturday and Kettering on Monday were called off because of waterlogged pitches.
The Reds’ next game is at Stratford Town (3pm ko) on Boxing Day, followed by a home clash against Merthyr Tydfil on Saturday, January 2.
Redditch are unbeaten in 11 games but they have drawn the last five matches.
McDonald said: “We are in a good position in the league and we want to make sure that we go into January among the teams at the top.
“We have to remember we’re up against some bigger clubs.
“But the team is developing and we know if we have a good Christmas we’ll be going in the right direction.”
New signing Rob Thompson-Brown’s debut this weekend will be against Stratford, the side he previously played for.
