Bedworth United 1 Redditch United 2

A last gasp George Carline winner capped a fine comeback by the Reds in a feisty encounter with struggling Bedworth.

A full-bloodied encounter saw Bedworth lead through Alex Naughton’s 26th minute goal but Danny Dubidat’s fifth goal in three games and Carline’s injury time winner ensured the points went the way of the visitors.

Carline almost gave Redditch the lead after 10 minutes when his header from a Jamey Osborne corner clipped the outside of the post.

That combination would later come to the fore again but it was Bedworth who were ahead when Aron Wint found space on the left and he crossed for Naughton to slide a volley past keeper Stuart Parsons.

Dubidat collected a yellow card for turning in Jamie Molyneux’s cross with his hand after 35 minutes.

After the break Redditch had more of the play and found a way back in the 67th minute when Kyle Haynes was adjudged to have been impeded by Aaron Bains and Dubidat sent Denham Hinds the wrong way from the spot.

Just when it looked as though Reds would be denied they found a winner two minutes into stoppage time. Osborne crossed from the left and Carline’s run was unseen, his header leaving Hinds rooted to the spot.
