JERMAINE Hylton looks set to settle his future as a host of clubs from the SkyBet Football League have made firm offers for Redditch United’s much sought-after forward.

Two clubs from League One and another from the level below have emerged from the pack of clubs who have been watching the forward, who could join as a free agent.

Hylton did his reputation no harm last week when he scored for Birmingham City against Manchester City in a behind the scenes game last week. The Blues remain interested in United’s top scorer, who has impressed their manager Gary Rowett.

Redditch United manager Liam McDonald said: “Jermaine’s future will be clearer by the end of the week.

“It’s a case of sitting down with his dad and working out the best move for him.”

Meanwhile, McDonald hopes to have added two more new faces to bolster his squad.

Tividale’s Jordan Archer turned down a chance to move to the Valley Stadium outfit.

United have put in a host of seven-day approaches, with Alvechurch’s Luke Shearer one of a number of options.

Meanwhile, United return to action in the Southern League Premier with two away games in three days.

They go to bottom of the table Banbury on New Year’s Day (3pm ko), a side who pulled off a surprise 5-1 win over Cirencester on Boxing Day.

Redditch, who are third in the table, then go to Cambridge City on Saturday (3pm ko).

In their exhibition match against Hereford United Fans Trust, goals for Ashley Sammons (4), Simeon Maye, Jordan Cullinane-Liburd and Calvin Dinsley sealed a 7-0 victory on Friday.
