POTENT Redditch United face another big litmus test of their good form when they tackle Southern League Premier big guns St Neots and Chesham United in the space of four days.

The Valley Stadium outfit, who were set to play Chippenham away last night, welcome two sides they have already beaten this season.

While Chesham are in mid-table, they were tipped to be challenging for the title and will be aiming to avenge a 1-0 loss in August on Saturday (3pm start).

Big-spending St Neots are flying high and they will also be looking to put right a defeat at the hands of Redditch on Monday (7.45pm start).

But United have scored 23 goals in their last three outings, thrashing Slough 7-1, Bishops Cleeve 9-2 before putting Bideford to the sword with a 7-2 drubbing on Saturday.

It’s an impressive record that the manager feels will cause a shiver to go down many team’s spines.

Manager Liam McDonald said: “We will have to see how Chesham and St Neots approach playing us and we will know in the first five minutes.

“But looking at the amount of goals we have scored I can imagine that teams might well change their game plan when they face us.

“It has been brilliant to see the team score so many goals.

“Getting Ashley Sammons and Jermaine Hylton back from suspension and injury is a help because they give the squad confidence.

“But I also think the players have more self-belief after our tough spell, apart from the Hitchin defeat we didn’t lose badly. The club is buzzing.”

McDonald has increased United’s attacking options by bringing in winger Dior Angus from Solihull Moors.

The 20-year-old has been playing for Daventry Town in the Southern League Division One Central but the Northamptonshire outfit have seen their budget drastically cut.

Angus made a name for himself with a series of good displays for Solihull Borough and earned a move to Kidderminster Harriers in summer 2013, but was sent out on loan to Worcester City after failing to nail down a regular spot.

He was released by Harriers last season but has done well at Daventry and scored in their League Cup win over Banbury last week.

“Dior is a fantastic player, he’s not going to make a lot of money at Redditch but he knows he is coming to a club where we’ll get the best out of him.

“He’s another quick, skilful player with bags of pace.

“We haven’t broken the budget to get him in, all being well he’ll be attending training and be available for Chesham.”

Max Loveridge, Jordan Cullinane-Liburd and Leavi Oshungbure are all set to return after missing the midweek clash.
