Boldmere St Michaels 0, Redditch United 1

Jermaine Hylton scored the only goal of the game as Redditch left it late to see off Midland Alliance outfit Boldmere.

The striker netted seven minutes from time to finally secure the win that looked set to elude Liam McDonald’s side.

The United boss made a number of changes from the side that drew with Worcester City on Tuesday, taking the opportunity to look at some of the younger squad players.

Ricardo Reid had the pick of the first half chances but was one of a number to be denied by the woodwork when his shot struck the upright.

It was a similar tale after the break as McDonald made a series of substitutions. Jamie Molyneux also hit the post while Ashley Sammons and Hylton were denied by the crossbar.

Hylton’s 83rd minute winner saw him pick the ball up midway inside the Boldmere half and, with Jamie Spencer and Jamie Molyneux diverting the defenders, he was able to guide the ball home.
