Rowe runs riot to sink sorry Reds

Redditch United 1, Stourbridge 6
REDDITCH suffered a bank holiday mauling at the hands of an unforgiving Stourbridge side.
And their victory was down to the finishing of a rampant Ryan Rowe, the on loan Kidderminster Harriers striker helping himself to four of the goals.
After a dour opening quarter that saw both sides struggling to gain possession, the game burst into life on 25 minutes when an Aaron Drake free-kick was launched into the Redditch area and Luke Benbow controlled well before firing past keeper Sam Hornby.
The Redditch keeper did well to block a Rowe effort on 38 minutes but the striker did double the lead a minute later when he forced home a Sean Gedded corss at the far post.
George Washbourne pushed another effort wide when clean through before the break and the Glassboys then added a third nine minutes into the second half, Rowe turning his marker before placing the ball into the bottom right-hand corner.
Redditch had upped the tempo after the break, Kyle Patterson replacing the out of sorts Passeka Kergbo.
And the home side were handed a lifeline midway through the half when Edwin Ahenkorah curled a delightful 25-yard effort beyond former United keeper Dean Coleman.
But while there were some promising touches up front, there was carnage at the back for Redditch with the visitors looking likely to score every time they pushed forward. Of the defence, only on loan Solihull Moors left-back Luke Connolly came out with any credit.
Rowe pounced on a loose Mark Hands pass to make it 4-1 on 73 minutes with Ben Billingham and Jordan Fitxpatrick then being denied by keeper Hornby after exploiting the sloppy marking.
Dan Pitt put an effort into the side-netting for Redditch when he should have forced a save but the Glassboys were having no such trouble at the other end.
Geddes added a fifth from the penalty spot on 84 minutes following a trip on Fitzpatrick before Rowe wrapped things up four minutes later as he eased his way into the area before firing home.
