Redditch ladies too strong for Stourport

First published in Sport

REDDITCH Hockey Club’s Ladies got the better of Stourport 3-1 in the Worcestershire Divison One.

Goals for Ruth Waite, Jess Smith and Anna Stafford sealed victory.

With the Red’s back on form they look forward to travelling to Pershore next week.

The seconds were delighted to draw 1-1 with Stourport’s fifth side in Division Three.

The Men’s seconds were on the wrong end of a shock result as they went down 6-3 to Leamington.

A brace from Steve Jones and a third from the in-form Steve Dawes were not enough in the second half.

The thirds were edged out 4-3 by Bloxwich, despite Timmy Gibbs, Liam Jakeman and George Haslam hitting the target.
