Redditch United 0 Hyde United 0
Redditch United could only draw against fourth from bottom Hyde United on Saturday.
In a scrappy game, Redditch's best chance came when Matty Blair headed on a long ball on ten minutes and Dan Carter's hooked shot hit the post.
Hyde looked a poor outfit but matched Redditch for effort.
They should have took the lead on 12 minutes when Lee Rick headed into the ground in front of goal.
Joszef Jakab should have done better ten minutes before half time when he shot high and wide on the half volley when he could have controlled or passed it.
On 43 minutes, Jack Byrne produced a good save from Hyde goalkeeper Michael Jones as Redditch pressed for the opener.
Just after half time, slack defending by Redditch let in Rick, but he was stopped by a tremendous tackle from home captain Asa Charlton.
On 59 minutes, Byrne should have scored for Redditch when he connected with a pinpoint cross from substitute Carl Hegss but he put it wide of the post.
Heggs, and fellow substitue Godwil Moraka injected some pace and grit into the proceedings, but they couldn't make the breakthrough.
Charlton again saved his side on 75 minutes when he produced another great tackle to deny Hyde substitue David McNiven who was bearing down on goal.
Redditch line up: Danny Lewis; Joe Clarke; Asa Charlton (c); David Bridgwater; Liam Francis; Brad Bullimore; Jack Byrne; Dan Carter; Jozsef Jakab; Matt Blair; Myron Semper.
Subs: Carl Heggs (for Semper 53 mins); Michael McGrath; Godwil Moraka; Steven Jackson; Tom Turner.
Attendance: 266
