MANAGER Tim Harris says consistency will be key when Redditch United face some of the league's top sides during a gruelling week ahead.

Reds face four games in eight days starting with a trip to Chesham United this Saturday. That will be followed by home clashes with Hereford (April 2), Royston Town (April 4) and Weymouth (April 7).

All teams currently sit in the top 10 of the Southern Premier League but the boss has called for his players to embrace the challenge.

He is also keen to build on the performance that saw them only narrowly beaten 1-0 by promotion chasing King's Lynn at the Trico Stadium last Saturday.

Harris said: "We are slowly moving forward as a team now.

"It will always be tough when we come up against those sides with a lot more resources than we have but we just have to get on with it.

"We are a team that hasn't been together for very long but we are moving in the right direction.

"We are playing some good sides in quick succession now but have nothing to lose.

"We just have to embrace the challenge because the spirit in the squad is certainly there.

"Consistency will be key for us over the next few games. We'll need to try and reach the same levels that we showed against King's Lynn."

On the King's Lynn loss, he added: "There is no doubt that we could have come away with something.

"The lads acquitted themselves very well and limited King's Lynn to few chances.

"We had the best chance when Tristan Dunkley went through in the first half and were still in the game at the end when we had two or three chances to get something we'd have deserved from the game.

"It was a spirited and committed showing and something we can look to build on."

Jordan Mills is available again this weekend following a trial with Barnsley and defender Louis Ezewele should return from injury to feature.

Meanwhile, club physio Tony Dunn is leaving his role at the Trico after being posted in the Falklands with the RAF.

United are looking for a physio to help out until the end of the season or for longer. Anyone interested should contact the club.
