NEW manager Tim Harris watched from the stands as Redditch United got put to the sword by Weymouth.

Harris, who quit hometown club Gloucester City at the end of last month, was unveiled by the club shortly after the 5-0 defeat in Dorset.

Weymouth signalled their intent by attacking from the off with Calvin Brooks firing high and wide and Brandon Goodship and Abdulai Baggie each going close.

Goodship then had an effort cleared off the line with Stephane Zubar blazing over the follow up before the deadlock was broken 15 minutes in.

A slick one-two with Ben Thomson set Goodship free near the corner of the box and the ex-AFC Bournemouth youngster swirled beyond the dive of Ethan Ross.

Within five minutes, Goodship had doubled his and the Terras’ tally with a similar finish having cut in from the flank.

Redditch rallied from there and traded chances with their hosts as Ashley Sammons forced a fine save from home keeper Mark Travers.

The match remained in the balance until the hour mark when Baggie found Goodship whose bobbling shot in a busy box was turned home by Harry Baker to all but seal the points.

Thomson got in on the act by stabbing in the fourth having chested down a cross with 19 minutes to go and Goodship completed his hat-trick by stroking in across goal late on.

Harris will take charge for the first time when Reds face Stratford Town on Boxing Day (3pm).
