FABULOUS Feckenham fought their way into the Presidents Cup quarter final following a fiercely fought 2-1 win over Coton Green.

Two well-taken goals from Ben Ellicott did the trick but Feckenham were forced to fight for this success.

Boss Aaron Blackwood rang the changes from the side which beat Bloxwich Town by bringing in Ryan Faulkner, Nick Briggs, Max Tibbins and 17 year old Alvechurch prospect Sid Hicks.

Feckenham broke the deadlock on 16 minutes when Danny Murphy robbed Coton Green's central defender and set up Ellicott for a composed finish.

But the Green battled back to level before half time when Rikki Reid rifled home past goalkeeper Josh Goddard.

Although Feckenham bossed most of second half proceedings, they had to wait until the 62nd minute before securing the winning goal after both Ben Welsh and then Murphy had efforts cleared off the line.

Ellicott then effectively sealed the tie by dancing past two Green defenders before rifling home.

Coton Green pushed forward in an attempt to save the tie but were prevented from getting back on level terms through a combination of wayward shooting and good defending.

At the same time, they left themselves exposed at the back and Feckenham should have capitalised further but Murphy was denied by another goal-line clearence while Umit Eminoglu struck the post with a free kick.

The Millers return to Midland League Division Two action this Saturday with a trip to Knowle FC for an earlier 2pm kick-off.
