Redditch United 4, St Ives Town 0

Dior Angus netted a goal in each half as Redditch eased their way to a convincing victory over league strugglers St Ives.

But it was influential midfielder Andi Thanoj who kick-started the win, curling in a free-kick after just three minutes.

Reds keeper Ethan Ross saved bravely at the feet of Ben Seymour-Shove midway through the half to thwart a rare St Ives attack before Angus and Spencer Weir-Daley went close at the other end.

The lead was doubled five minutes before the break when a sweet passing move resulted in Weir-Daley drilling a low pass into the area where Angus steered the ball into the net.

Both sides had chances soon after the restart when with Seymour-Shove forcing another save from Ross while Gowan Stares had a header cleared from in front of goal.

There was a third for the Reds on 76 minutes when Weir-Daley turned in a Kevin Monteiro cross following some more excellent approach work and Angus wrapped up the points three minutes later, slotting in a penalty after Thanoj had been tripped.

Reds: Ross 7, Wright 6 (Apostolopoulos 78), Fox 6 (Hussain 78), Mailncol 6, Stares 7, Pendley 6, Monteiro 6 (Amenku 80), Jackman 8, Angus 7, THANOJ 8, Weir-Daley 7. Subs (not used): Belmonte, Simpson.
