ASTWOOD Bank's excellent run of form is extending beyond the first team at the moment as their thirds thrashed bottom side Himley by 101 runs to pull 19 points clear of the Worcester County League Division Three drop zone.

Wicketkeeper Connor Adams confirmed his prowess with the bat by scoring 120 to help the Bank post a huge total of 333 for eight.

Adams' innings contained 18 fours and five sixes, while finding plenty of support in hand with Matt Harland 30, Dave Price 33 and Paul Boycott 31 helping to push the score along.

Himley tried to hit back through Steve Newman 48 and Matt Bourne 39 but eventually fell short on 232 for nine.

The Bank used no less than eight different bowlers in an effort to prise Himley out, but their last pair held firm.
