STUDLEY boss Keith Draper declared he didn't want the season to end after his side completed their Midland League Division One campaign by pulling off a 4-0 win over Pelsall Villa who were ultimately relegated as a result.

Danny Pitt plundered a couple of goals with Gareth Evans and Aaron Westwood also on the mark to seal Villa's fate.

Having been staring relegation in the face for much of the season, Draper was delighted with the outcome as Studley finished the season in 15th place.

Draper admitted: "I've never been in a relegation fight before and it has really taken it out of me. But I was always confident I could get the club into a safe position and already we are now looking at moving forward.

"All the players have committed themselves to Studley for next season, but I've already got a few targets and some fresh faces in mind.

"Obviously, I want to stay loyal to those lads that have helped get Studley out of trouble. It took me longer than I expected as all the other sides at the bottom were consistently picking up points as well.

"When you consider we've been averaging two points a game since Christmas, it shows how hard it has been."

There are exciting times ahead at Studley with new floodlights and dug-outs scheduled to be erected during the close season.

Studley also have a new sponsorship deal in the pipeline thanks to skipper Danny Ludlow which will see the side revert back to their traditional sky blue and white home kit.

Draper is also looking to agree a duel registration deal with Midland League champions Alvechurch for the coming season.

Studley have already benefitted this season with use of Alvechurch's Bradley Carter and Danny Moy.
