STUDLEY stay second from bottom in Midland League Division One after their trip to relegation rivals Pelsall Villa was called off owing to a waterlogged pitch.

It didn't help matters that fellow strugglers Stafford Town and Pershore Town both picked up points while Studley were left on the sidelines.

Studley spokesman Bob Fletcher said: "It was a shame we didn't play because we're on a good run of form at the moment having picked up 15 points from a possible 18 in our last six games.

"We are aware that teams around us are picking up points but we can't worry about that and we just need to concentrate on ourselves."

Ironically Studley have no fixture this week although they were hoping to restage their Birmingham Floodlit Cup semi-final with Cadbury Athletic after the initial fixture was cut short owing to a serious injury when Studley were leading 2-1.
