FECKENHAM finished on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline when they faced a powerful Paget Rangers side in Midland League Division Two.
Paget were able to parade prolific strikers Dan Carter and Mark Bellingham in their ranks. Consequently it was Paget's extra prowess around the penalty area that proved decisive.
Feckenham were able to welcome back Adam Garmston following a three match ban while also giving a debut to 17-year-old Alvechurch loanee full back Jack Yarwood.
Paget took a slender 1-0 lead at half time but increased their advantage when twice netting direct from free kicks before Carter completed the scoring with a classy finish.
Feckenham assistant manager, Tom Davies, said: "Paget took their chances and deserved to win. They have a very strong front line but I thought defensively we dealt with their threats quite well."
Feckenham take on Knowle this Saturday, with the match being played at Solihull Moors' Damson Park ground.
Solihull Moors stepped in to host Knowle after their Hampton Road ground suffered recent storm damage.
