REDDITCH United boss Darren Byfield says he isn't feeling the pressure despite his side's poor run since the turn of the year.

Reds' winless run extended to eight games with a 2-1 away defeat at Hayes and Yeading United last Saturday.

Luke Keen had bagged Redditch's first goal in five matches to cancel out Tom Broadbent’s first-half opener, only for Wes Parker to fire relegation-battling Hayes ahead for a second time.

The boss at the Valley says he's just busy working to get back to winning ways as well as putting plans in place for next season rather than dwelling on the situation.

He said: "We already have a number of targets in mind and a number of players that have already agreed to join us next season.

"I'll be honest, even though we're in a bad place at the moment, I'm not feel the pressure too much.

"I think that has a lot to do with the fact that I know I have a chairman that has backed me and understands that it's my first season and that we are building for next season.

"Because of that the expectancy will be high at the start of next season but that is something we will have to deal with."

Byfield again pointed the finger at individual errors following the weekend defeat, adding: "Every single one of the last nine goals we have conceded has come from either a set-piece or our own mistakes.

"It was exactly the same against Hayes and Yeading and it will stay that way until I get the right people in or the players already here understand they have to be willing top put their head in where it hurts to get the ball clear.

"We will be drilling set-piece after set-piece this week in training for that very reason. If the fans see players with bandages around their heads this weekend it will because they have spent three hours heading balls away and clearing balls into the box.

"I have no choice. I will keep going through the set-pieces until they understand what is needed.

"We have 11 games still to go and we will be doing everything we can to dig in and finish as high as we can.

"Just because we can't make the play-offs now doesn't mean we don't have things to play for. We must make sure we don't get dragged into a relegation fight and just finish in a nice, respectable position."

Dior Angus took a knock to his hip in the Hayes defeat but should be fit for this Saturday's home game against relegation-threatened Cambridge City (3pm-kick-off).
