STUDLEY have a huge chance to climb out of Midland League Division One's relegation zone this Saturday when they entertain rock bottom Southam at the Beehive.

Manager Keith Draper confirmed there would be no excuses for his side which is expected to be at full strength for the showdown.

Draper said: "The situation is completely within our own hands, but there can be no complacency. We won't be taking Southam lightly."

Draper will be drafting in 18-year-old Birmingham County FA goalkeeper Bradley Carter for his debut who is currently on loan to Studley from neighbours Alvechurch.

Carter replaces Ali Lewis, who was praised by Draper this week.

Draper added: "I explained the situation to Ali. Some players would have gone off and sulked, but not Ali. He has offered to come and help warm-up Bradley before the game. It's that type of spirit which will see us through."

Recent recruit from Willenhall Town, Matt Dorgan, is set to make his first start against after coming off the bench to score twice in the recent win against Stafford Town.

Draper is also hoping to sign Littleton marksman Connor Perry-Holmes in time to play against Southam after Littleton agreed to waive the seven day notice.

Studley have been drawn to play either Littleton or Bewdley Town in the Worcestershire Senior Urn semi-finals which will take place over two legs at a date to still be decided.
