STUDLEY eased their relegation worries with an excellent 4-3 win over Littletons in Midland League Division One.

Danny Ludlow lashed home two goals with Gareth Evans and new recruit Josh Westwood also on target in what proved an impressive Studley show.

Delighted Studley manager Keith Draper said: "We played really well and proved competitive all over the park, in fact the 4-3 scoreline made it look good for Littletons as we gifted them two of their goals.

"Littletons turned us over in the cup 9-1 just before I took over at Studley and we really wanted to put that right.

"More importantly, we've now closed the gap on the teams above us, but I'm still under no illusions. Every game is like a cup final at the moment and I won't rest until we're mathematically safe from relegation.

"The pleasing thing is that we're picking up points and we now embark on a series of games against teams who are positioned around us."

Draper drafted in both Josh Westwood and Ollie Casey for their debuts against Littletons.

He is also running the rule over Alvechurch players, striker Danny Moy and goalkeeper Brad Carter - both of whom could figure when they entertain Uttoxeter Town this Saturday in another Midland League One match.
