ALCESTER trainer Dan Skelton will be targeting more success when Mister Miyagi runs in the International Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Skelton turned over current race favourite My Tent Or Yours at Haydock Park with Ch'tibello and is hoping Mister Miyagi can do the same in the £130,000 Grade Two contest tomorrow.

The seven-year-old won three of his four starts over hurdles last season, including at The April Meeting and was sixth behind Altior in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle at The Festival.

Mister Miyagi's two starts this year have seen him finish third to Hargam in a Listed hurdle at Kempton Park in October and second when stepped up to two and a half miles in a conditions hurdle at Aintree on November 5.

Skelton said: "I have got a lot of respect for My Tent Or Yours getting the weight and, if the same My Tent Or Yours from the Champion Hurdle turns up, then we are not going to beat him.

"But he has got a bad run to put behind him and that is probably going to be the key part to the race. If he is there to be beaten, then I think we have a great chance.

"The ground is going to be fine for our horse. I would not be running him if it was soft. I am delighted we can go to a track he loves on ground he likes for a big prize. We have got to make the most of these opportunities."

The New One (Nigel Twiston-Davies/Ryan Hatch), who was set to go novice chasing last week until the fixture at Exeter was abandoned, bids for a record-equalling third victory in the race following decisive successes in 2013 and 2014. Crack hurdlers Relkeel and Birds Nest are the only three-time winners.

The line-up is completed by last year's victor Old Guard (Paul Nicholls/Sam Twiston-Davies), Melodic Rendezvous (Jeremy Scott/Nick Scholfield) and Court Minstrel (Evan Williams/Paul Moloney).
