ALCESTER were almost without a fixture this week when league opponents Kings Norton were unable to field a side, so they took on Bournville's Second XV instead.
Underdogs Alcester achieved a 31-14 success after running in five tries, they return to league action this week when they entertain Pershore (2-15pm start).
Alcester's Second XV reached the semi finals of the Warwickshire Shield with a 17-7 victory over Stoke Old Boys.
Alcester Colts lost 21-17 to Loughborough after leading 17-0.
