FECKENHAM'S five match unbeaten run came to an abrupt halt following a 1-0 defeat at home to Sutton United in Midland League Two.

Sutton snatched the lead just before half time and then held on for the remainder of the game despite being reduced to 10 men midway through the second half.

Feckenham fought hard to try and repair the damage in the second half with Jack Brimmell and substitute George Tolley both going close.

Jordan Adams then headed against Sutton's crossbar late in the game before Jamie Firkins saw a last gasp looping header cleared off Sutton's line.

Feckenham have fallen to 11th place in the table and will look to bounce back when they visit Bloxwich Town this Saturday.

They will be boosted by the signing of highly promising 18-year-old striker Bradley Frain who has featured in the Midland Premier Division with Highgate United.

Frain has also played for both Leamington and Stratford Town's under-18 sides.

Feckenham have lost defender Jordan Porter who has joined rivals Inkberrow.

Porter followed manager Aaron Blasckwood to Feckenham from previous club Bartley Green, but owing to increased work commitments has been unable to command regular football this season.
