STUDLEY have appointed Keith Draper and Mark Jones as joint managers following the recent departure of former boss Kevin Kingham.

Draper was already operating as caretaker boss at the Beehive while Jones was most recently in charge of West Midlands League Premier side Cradley Town.

But the pair began their partnership with a 4-2 defeat against fellow Midland League Division One strugglers Coventry Copsewood, who climb above Studley in the league table as a result.

The signs had looked extremely promising for Studley as they came from a goal down to lead 2-1 at half time thanks to goals from new signings Jack McGinn and Andy Nicol.

It could have been even better but Nicol had a goalbound shot spectacularly turned onto the post by the Copsewood goalkeeper.

Copsewood went onto boss the second half and goals from Dave Blenkinsopp, Connor Farrell, Dan Fraser and Lawrence Rawlings sealed the points.

Studley spokesman Bob Fletcher claimed: "Coventry Copsewood are our bogey side. I don't think we've ever beaten them, but we could have no complaints as they were the better side in the second half."

Andy Nicol has arrived at Studley from local rivals Alvechurch while McGinn has been recruited from Cadbury.

Managers Draper and Jones has also added Dave Barfield and Sam Delaney, who was recently with Coventry Sphinx to the ranks and further new signings are expected this week.

In the meantime Studley have slipped to third from bottom but look to turn matters around when they visit Leicestershire side Heather St Johns this Saturday.
