EXCELLENT Alcester ran in 10 tries as they crushed Coventry side Keresley 62-5 in Midlands 4 West South.

It was Alcester's fifth straight league win as they looked the better side throughout and now climb to third place as a result of this one-sided romp.

The match proved a real milestone for captain Jack Green who grabbed no less than four tries and went onto accumilate a personal tally of 32 points as he kicked six conversions as well.

Alcester were 24-5 ahead at half time, centre Jamie Harland having scored two tries while winger Lewis Walker made certain of the bonus point when securing the fourth try.

However Alcester's domination was disrupted with Louis Smith, Neil Loy and George Green all sent to the sin bin.

While Green grabbed four tries, Lewis Walker ran him close with a hat-trick of tries while centre Jamie Harland supplied two, prop Kyran Flynn completing the try-scoring with the final play of the match.

While the first team were busy running up the points against Keresley, the Second XV proved equally impressive as they overwhelmed Droitwich Thirds 54-17.

Alcester's Director of Rugby Stu Whitehead led from the front with a couple of tries while Will Silk, Luke Spencer, Toby Allen, Anthony Cauvin, Matt Johnson, Jimmy Watson and Tim Jackson all added their names to scoresheet.

Max Biltcliffe and Paul Taylor both provided a conversion apiece to complete the scoring.

The Seconds take centre stage this Saturday at Kings Coughton when they entertain Coventry side Stoke Old Boys in the Warwickshire Second XV Shield with kick off at 2-15pm.

The Firsts face a trip to Old Yardleians in a friendly fixture.

Alcester's Colts claimed a pleasing 29-17 success at Northampton Men's Own.

Tries from James Gionis, Aden Rawlings and Oscar Holland together with a Harry Adams conversion put them 17-7 ahead at half time.

Two well taken Cian Allen tries in the second half and another Adams Conversion sealed a splendid success.
