ALCESTER Bowling Club face the prospect of relegation from the Heart of England League's Over-60 section following a couple of crushing defeats.

Only Ken Craddock with a 21-11 score and Ken Harvey with 21-16 could return winning cards as they lost to Moseley Cricket Club by 13 shots.

Worse was to follow when they visited Green Man A where only David Whittington with 21-16 could return a winning card as Alcester crashed to a 41 shot reverse.

There was better news for the B team who clinched promotion from Division Five with a 14 shot success over Kings Norton B where winning cards came from David Hodgson, Geoff Spiers, Carole Slater and Trish Barry.

Trish was also in top form when playing in Division Seven of the S and W Birmingham Over 60's League when she returned a 21-0 card, the club's third of the season.

It helped Alcester obtain a massive 66 shot success over Olton Tavern B.

Brian Lees returned a splendid 21-3 card as Alcester claimed a seven shot win over Central Edgbaston A in Northfield League Division Three.
